Luxury vinyl flooring (LVF) is an affordable and authentic-looking alternative to genuine wood, stone, and tile. It follows all the trends, and you would use vinyl to transform a room just as you would the authentic materials.

Turn your bathroom into an upscale wellness spa
That’s just one transformation you can make; use marble luxury vinyl on the floor with some patterned tile-sized on the wall; since LVF is waterproof, it can be applied to any surface without worry.

Patterns on hardwood are all the rage, and you can use different colors of a luxury vinyl plank to create a herringbone design or combine some tile pieces to design your geometric pattern.

What is LVF?
If you haven't seen it yet, first get all your memories of past flat images out of your head and then run to look at samples. The wood, stone, and tile images are taken with high-definition photography, so knots, grains, swirls, and veining variations will be in full display. Bright colors and brilliant patterns pop.

Micro beveling, a process that slightly angles corners, and embossing, which adds textured looks, join forces to add depth and dimension. It can be cut into planks (LVP) or square, tile-sized pieces used with or without grout, called luxury vinyl tile or LVT.

Ultra-durable and waterproof
True LVF is five times thicker than the original product. It's multi-layered and, at the top, is a transparent, thick melamine wear layer that protects the floor from scratches and scuffs and keeps spills at the top. On top of that is a clear urethane finish that adds extra shine and strength.

All it needs is regular sweeping and periodic mopping with a manufacturer-approved cleaner. Installation is a snap when it becomes a floating floor where the pieces click, mat, and hover over the subfloor.
